On the first week of April 2016, we completed the refurbishment project to uplift the Surgical Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at the Colombo North Teaching Hospital, Ragama from its forlorn condition. The said unit of the hospital was reopened to the public on the 9th of April.
The re-opening ceremony was held on the 9th April 2016 in the presence of Directors and Senior Management of Melwire Group. Mr. P. P. Barathakumar (Director), Mr. Amrith Barathamanicham (Director), Mr. Anukanth Segar, Mr. Sathesh Kumar, Mr. Seelan and Mr. Prem were in attendance.
The complete refurbishment project resulted in immediate measures to ensure uninterrupted supply of water and electricity. Essential such as bathroom facilities, 9 Oxygen cylinders, ceiling, air-conditioning and partitions were promptly added to ensure patients will be given the best treatment and experience possible. Commencing in February 2016, the project was completed by the first week of April.
